Sony Dwi Kuncoro is a men single badminton athlete from Indonesia. he was born on 7 July 1984 in Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia. When he was young, he joined the Suryanaga Surabaya badminton club. His parents are Moch. Sumadji (father) and Asmiati (mother). His hobbies are fixing automobiles and hanging-out or travelling. generally people call him Sony, which can also spelled as Soni.Sony played as the first single player in Thomas Cup 2008 in Indonesia, followed by Taufik Hidayat in the second and Simon Santoso in the third. Sony have joined Thomas Team for three years in 2004, 2006, and 2008. And this year is the first time for him as the first single. Now Sony is in rank 6.

Don't forget: Sony won Bronze Medal in 2004 Olympic! Also runner-up in World Championship 2007. Plus he recently just won 2008 Indonesian Open
